Carmen Electra Biography

Carmen Electra was born in April 20, 1972.She is an American model, television personality, actress, singer and dancer.

Growing up in White Oak, Ohio, at the age of nine, she was selected for the School for Creative and Performing Arts. While studying there, Carmen began taking singing lessons and practicing her vocal talents, and by her teenage years, she was dancing in musicals and doing her own choreographing for the school's theater.Her ultimate ambition was to go to Los Angeles and sign a record deal.

By the age of fifteen, Carmen was well on her way to realizing her dream, she took her first big step and moved to Minneapolis, where her sister and half-sister lived, and worked as a clothes model for Target department stores.Four years later, she packed up shop and moved to L.A. One week later, she met the artist formerly known as Prince. For all practical purposes, she had just been discovered.Prince persuaded her to change her name to Carmen Electra.

Despite the fact that Prince took her under his wing. Her first album was a dud. By 1993,Carmen's success was the typical story of the flare that finally died. One year after her big break, the name Carmen Electra had been forgotten.

After that Carmen reinvented herself and appeared on the Nickelodeon show, "ALL THAT".Carmen's career was in danger of vanishing, so she made her clothes disappear instead.In March of 1996, Carmen took a huge step forward and posed nude for Playboy.
She also performed in a video for Playboy, "Playboy Cheerleaders", in which she sings the show stopper, "2-4-6-8".

On February 10, 1997 she became the co-Host of Singled Out. Since then she has been in many TV and Movie appearances including Good Burger, Loveline, Baywatch, All That, Baywatch Nights and of course Singled Out.

Since this time, Carmen has appeared more often on the T.V., and even the big screen. Her first movie was Good Buger(1997), where she played a small role, and larger roles in indie movies Starfcker (1998), The Chosen One: The Legend of the Raven (1998), and Starstruck (1999).Carmen was signed on to replace Pamela Anderson on Baywatch. She has appeared in a comic book, appeared as a national spokesperson for Budweiser and recently filmed a small role in the independent feature DUST AND STARDUST.

Carmen has wasted no time at all. She appeared in one of the bigger movies of 2000, Scary Movie. She is also following suit in 2001 with her appearance in Perfume. She dated rapper B-Real of cypress Hill. Carmen currently lives in Los Angeles. And is also in the running to star in her own network primetime show.

In recent times, Carmen has been in-and-out of the papers as they document her crazy relationship with Dennis Rodman. The two were married in a quickie marriage in Las Vegas while he was drunk. Carmen is constantly on the tabloid pages, mostly for her on again-off again, married, divorced, annulled, or just dating relationship with basketball's bad boy.
